2-D is a very lanky looking character. What you will need to do first is draw the shape for his head, and then add the facial guidelines. Next draw the connecting lines for the tors, arms, hips, and legs.

2

Sketch out the shape of 2-D's face, and then draw in the beginning lines for his crazy looking messy hair style starting with the bangs. You will then draw the shoulders, and sleeves for his t-shirt.

3

Finish drawing out the hair style, and then draw the collar for the shirt, and the rest of the torso shape. The lining for the torso is also the lining for his arms.

4

Color in two circles for the eye sockets, and then the thick eyebrows, and mouth. Draw the arms, and then draw the belt, and the buckle like you see it done here. Once that is done you can than begin sketching out the legs.

5

2-D has very big hands, and long fingers. Continue to draw out the legs, and pants and then cuff up the bottom of the pants.

6

Well kiddies, this is your last drawing step and as you can see there isn't that much to do. All you need now is to draw the folded pants at the bottom, and then draw out his boots or feet. Erase the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

7

When you're done, this is what your Gorillaz character looks like. Color him in, and you have finished this lesson on how to draw 2-D, step by step.

Description: I've been listening to a lot of music lately and recently, a band called the Gorillaz has been on my playlist for the past two weeks. Last week, a member wanted me to make a tutorial on another animated character from the very popular band. So, because I love their music anyway, I went ahead and did a lesson on “"how to draw 2D"”, step by step. The name 2-D is just a nickname that was created because of the dents that the animated character has in each eyes socket. Both of his eyes are pitch black, and the reason why his eyes are like that is because of all the car accedents that he's been in with Murdoc. Even though we know him as 2D, his real name is Stuart Pot. This fictional star was created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. 2D is the lead singer for the band Gorillaz, and he also plays the keyboard as well. Okay, so we know that this "make believe" character was created by two real people right? So, if all the members where created by the same individuals, who actually does all the singing anyway? Well, all the vocals is sung by the creator of 2-D, Damon Albarn. What I like about this animated being, is the fact that not only is his voice wicked, he is also one of the more interesting looking. Along with 2-D there are his other animated band mates; Murdoc who is on bass guitar, Noodle is on guitar, and occasionally used for vocals, and than there is Hobbs, the drummer and percussionist. Anyway, I think this lesson will be fun for all you members that like the band Gorillaz, and maybe when you "draw 2-D", you will have learned something new. Peace out people, have a happy drawing day, and don't forget to rate and comment on all the art, and tutorials that everyone uploads on the site. I will back back real soon so stick around.
