Drawing Baby Groot

The very first step is to draw out the actual shape and structure of Groot's baby head. Since he is a rootish tree, he will need detailing at the tips of the head which will create a grain look.

Next, start drawing out the shapes of the eyes and then add some pupils. You will then draw in the woodsy shaped eyebrows, and then the wood grain shaped nose and mouth. Add definition throughout.

Okay folks, here you will draw in Groot's upper body or parts of it. Start with his neck, and then draw the shoulders and torso. Add some definition as well to create that wood grain.

We will finish the upper body starting with the arms and hands. The twisted wood detailing should also be drawn in and when you do this, take your time, don't rush. Draw in the torso and then proceed to step five.

We will start slowly with the lower half of baby Groot's body. Draw in the left leg starting with the thigh. His legs look more like tree trunks. Again, detail the leg accordingly.

For the last drawing step, draw in the right leg and foot the way you see it done here. Add definition and detail too. Erase any mistakes you might have made.

Description: I know Guardians of the Galaxy was an awesome movie and honestly, even though I have a lesson on drawing Baby Groot, I don't have one on him in his full baby body form. I had so much fun with this lesson because Groot is my favorite character alien from Guardians of the Galaxy. Chris Pratt's character was pretty FINE too, so I guess you could say that Star Lord and Groot were my favs. Anyways this lesson is going to show you how to draw Groot in his baby form step by step. I do hope everyone else enjoys the tut, I will return later with some other fun tuts so stay tuned in.
