Description:
Over this past weekend, a horrible thing happened to my long time friend, companion, guardian and protector. My almost seven year old black German Shepherd, Bear passed away. We have had Bear since he was an eight week old German Shepherd puppy, and when I found out that he was no longer with us, it was very hard for me to deal with his loss. Bear was a very unique Shepherd. I thought of him more like a brother than I did a dog. He would always follow his family no matter where we went. If we went out to the store, he would sit outside in front of the door and waited for us to return. Bear loved going for long ATV rides, but he would much rather run instead of hitch a ride with us. His eyes were so very piercing and human like. I loved him dearly and this lesson is a tribute to my dog Bear. I don't care how many years go by, he will always be with me. One good thing that is making his loss a bit easier, is the fact I have one of his sons from a previous litter of German Shepherd puppies he sired three months ago. We named our new Black Shepherd Dozer, and he looks exactly like his dad. He too is all black, has piercing brown eyes and has his personality. I do hope you guys like this lesson on drawing a Black German Shepherd in the image of my old friend. I shall return in a bit so please stick around.
