Step 1.
To start, draw a circle for the head of the clown mask and then lightly sketch in the facial guides.

Step 2.
Begin drawing and chiseling out the structure of Violent J's face. As you can see there is a lot of angles and straight edges as well as pikes and or points.

Step 3.
Next, draw his eyes like so, and notice how they are very expressive in an angry sort of way. Draw in the small diamond shaped nose, and then draw the wide, exposed smile which will be detailed in the next steps.

Step 4.
You will now draw in the gum line which should be drawn in arched strokes. With each notch you will need to draw a tooth until you have a complete smile. Add the markings on the face which is basically clown paint. These marks will form the eyebrows,
as well as add detailing to the eyelids, and cheeks. Add detailing inside of the ear and move along to step five.

Let's finish off Violent J by drawing the wild hair as well as his chin beard. Add some minor detailing to the hair and beard, and then begin cleaning your drawing.

Here is how your Insane Clown Posse figure comes out looking when drawn in a cartoon or tattooish form. Color in your drawing and show some folks what you have just created.

Description:
Hello once again people, Iām back with more drawing fun and like I promised I will be uploading a popular figure from the hip hop group āInsane Clown Posseā. The only difference between this and regular portrait lessons is I made this character in a cartoony or tattoo like style. I wanted to make sure that all you Posse fans will be able to tackle this tutorial on "
how to draw Violent J
", step by step. His real name is Joseph Bruce and he was born on April 28, 1972. This makes Violent J thirty nine years old, but later this year he will be turning the big four oh. He is also known as going by some other names such as; Jagged Joe, Bullet, Mr. Diamond, Big Baby Sweets, and some others I donāt know. Here is a cool fact; have you ever noticed the dedication that is on every Insane Clown Posse EP? It reads āDedicated to the Butterflyā. If you havenāt noticed before and you have an album of theirs, go ahead and look around until you see the dedication. This is written on every EP because of a vow that Joe and his little brother made when they were just kids. Let me explain, one day Joe and his brother went out and caught a butterfly. After the capture of the pretty insect, they kept it in a jar to keep it overnight, and then set it free in the morning. When they woke up the next day the butterfly had perished. The two brothers felt badly about what happened and ever since then they made a vow that they will one day meet up with the butterfly in another life to apologize for its death. That is probably one of the cutest stories I have ever heard and itās hard to believe that Violent J has such a soft side seeing how raw and insane he is. Anyways, the clown like drawing of Violent J came out pretty sweet and I think you will enjoy tackling this lesson. I will return with some more drawing fun so be sure to stick around to see whatās next. Peace people and enjoy!
