This step is going to be where you will be drawing out the guidelines in the shape of a mannequin. Start with a egg shaped head, then a small straight line for the neck. Now draw the torso frame in the shape of a rib cage, and then another straight l

Now what you can do here is draw all the lines on the outside to shape up and form the body of Popeye. Now his forearms are thick because as you know he has muscles that pop out from eating his spinach. Just follow the lining and directions in this s

The easy part about drawing Popeye is that he is wearing simple looking clothes. Just a regular pair of blue jeans, white sailor shirt, and dark brown heavy looking shoes. He is a big bulky character that doesn't really have any form of detail at all

Very easy short step. Detail, sketch, and draw in the face of Popeye. He only has one eye open on the left hand side and a dot for hi right eye. He is holding a can of spinach in his left hand and a pipe in his mouth. Sketch all these details in. Aft

Description: I'm Popeye the sailor man, I'm Popeye the sailor man, I'm strong to the fin-ich, Cause I eats me spin-ach, I'm Popeye the sailor man. Toot, Toot! I know everyone knows who I’m talking about obviously. Popeye was the man back in the day, he had this off the wall personality where was always talking under his breath. And the things he would say use to just crack me up to no end. Popeye’s love was the tall lanky Olive Oil, now she was definitely a plain Jane with no frame. I started watching Popeye when I was about 9 I think. But Popeye has been around long before I was even born. The comic cartoon of Popeye made its debut in 1933 in the Elzie Segar’s daily strip “Thimble Theatre”. Now when Popeye’s character was released he was supposed to be a 34 year old sailor that hasn’t seen his pappy since he was born. He meets and falls in love with a gal named Olive Oil who is taunted by the big bully Bluto who is always fighting with Popeye for Olive Oils hand in marriage. In 1980 Robert Altman directed Disney’s version of Popeye staring Robin Williams as Popeye the sailor man, Shelly Duvall as Olive Oil, I think that Robin Williams did a good job portraying the sailor with no home and pappy, he sounded and acted like him to a T. I will show you with this online tutorial how to draw Popeye the sailor man very easily with a few steps. The Popeye I drew for this tutorial was a sketch I did from the cover of a movie that I have on VHS. I think him cam out pretty on paper and cute in Photoshop. I do my entire do over sketches in Adobe cs from the original sketches that are scanned right into my computer. I will show you with this online tutorial how to draw Popeye the sailor man very easily with a few steps.
