How to Draw Max From The Secret Life of Pets

Step 1.


Begin with two guides, one for the head and another for the body. You will then sketch in the facial guidelines as well.

Step 2.


Define the shape of Max's forehead and snout or muzzle like so.

Step 3.


Up next, draw in Max's big floppy ears and then proceed to step four.

Step 4.


Finish drawing Max's head shape and then draw in the thick neck and dog collar.

Step 5.


We will now draw in the eyes and then draw the eyebrows.

Step 6.


Draw the nose and then add a marking on the face for the tan patch. Don't forget to add a smile on Max's face.

Step 7.


All you have to do here is draw the bone shaped dog tag.

Step 8.


We can now work on the legs and then when you are done draw the paws and toes.

Step 9.


Finish the body by drawing the back, butt and legs/paws as well as his wagging tail.

Step 10.


Lastly, erase your mistakes and add the rest of Max's spots. There is one on the shoulder and another on his back.

Step 11.


This is the line art now that you are done. color in Max from The Secret Life of Pets and that's it.

Description: This is the main character from The Secret Life of Pets and I know I should have made a lesson on him first, but it was really hard finding a reference picture on him. Having said that, here is how to draw Max from Secret Life of Pets, step by step. I do know that Max is a terrier, he is tan and white in color and has blue doggie collar with a gold bone dog tag. Drawing Max is going to be both simple and fun. I do want to let folks know that The Secret Life of Pets will be in theaters March of 2016 so keep an eye out for movie. Adios people!
