How to Draw Marina and the Diamonds

Begin by sketching out the outline for the head guide, then draw the lining for the shoulders. You will then sketch in the facial guidelines.

Next, draw the shape of the face using the guide you made in step one, followed by the hair line.

You will now utilize the facial guidelines and draw out the eyebrows. Next, draw the shape of her nose, then add some nostrils.

Sketch in her eyes, as well as her thick lashes.

Here you will draw Marina's lips or mouth, then draw and color in the small heart on her cheek.

Next, sketch in her shoulder length hair which is in a very voluminous wavy style. Her hair is combed back with a headband. Sketch in the curls, and strand detailing for added texture.

Next, sketch out the shape of her neck, shoulders, and then the collar for the top she is wearing. You will need to detail her neck and clothing as well. When you are finished you can erase the mistakes.

Description: So this next lesson is on a singer/songwriter that I am not familiar with. I have heard of the band but I never really got into the music. Up next I will be filling another request by showing you "how to draw Marina and the Diamonds", step by step. This singer became popular back in 2009 and her success has steadily grown since then. Her full name is Marina Lambrini Diamandis, and she is from Welsh. Her distinct look and sound quickly separates her music from the tunes that is on the radio today. After I made this lesson on drawing Marina and the Diamonds, I listened to a couple songs like 'How to be a Heartbreaker' and 'Primmadona'. They sounded pretty cool, but I don't think it's something that I will listen to all the time. I'm more of a NIN, Tool, and Marilyn Manson fan. But for those of you that enjoy her sound and music, have fun with this tutorial.
