How to Draw Lace

Step 1.


Begin by drawing the outlined shape of a bow.

Step 2.


Create the knot in the center of the bow and add some detailing to it as well.

Step 3.


Using the guides you made in step one sketch out the loop of the bow and then draw the ribbon end for the one side of the bow tie.

Step 4.


We will now draw the right side of the bow and then detail the bow with a loop.

Step 5.


Add some sections to create the see through lace. There is a simple way to do this and that's by creating a cross hatch design.

Step 6.


Draw in the same pattern on the right side like you did on the left side. Now you know how to draw lace so you can draw the lace pattern you like on the actual bows.

Step 7.


Once the mistakes and guides are all erased, you should have a concept that looks like the bow you see here.

Description: I have been waiting so long to do this lesson but I never got around to it. Finally, here I will show you all how to draw lace, step by step. I decided to draw lace in a pretty black bow. This is a type of material that is worn on dresses or vales, skirts and dresses and even for household decorations like dollies. Every now and then I will do tuts on fashion or fashion related stuff. I do hope that some of you find this lesson helpful in some way.
