The only thing you will do here is draw out the simple lining or framing for his sunglasses. Unlike James and Lars' eye wear, he has a brace above the nose notch, and the lenses are also wider.

Okay, slowly and lightly sketch out his nose starting with the bridge first, and then draw out the nostrils and tip. Add some mild shading to the left nostril, and then draw out the lining of his top lip.

Finish sketching out his full set of lips, and then sketch in the dark colored mustache and under lip hair. This is a relatively easy step so don't fret just take your time.

The next thing you need to do is draw out the jacket sleeve and make sure that its straight lined at the wrist. Next, sketch out his left hand which is being viewed and drawn from the side view. This is the soft part of the hand also known as the pal

Finish sketching out his hand and be sure to draw in those detailing lines. Next, draw out the ends of his sleeve which also is open and unbuttoned.

Sketch the entire outline of his face structure like so, and then draw in a solid curled under beard. When you are done with this feat, you can sketch in the hair line on the left side of his head or temple.

Kirk is one of the only band members of Metallica that still has his long locks. Kirk has always had curly hair so you will have to sketch out all of that hair like you see here, and when you do so, the lining should be wavy, and full of fluffy looki

All you have to do now is add some light shading to make his hairstyle a solid color. When that is done you can start erasing all the guides and shapes that you drew in step one. In fact, you might want to do this before you actually add the shading.

Description: Who do you consider one of the best guitarist of all time? For me I have a few different picks, but one of my favorite is on my top five list of greatest lead guitarists ever. This is who I’m doing a lesson on right now. To follow up with the Metallica member momentum, I will show you "how to draw Kirk Hammett", step by step. Kirk Lee Hammett was born in San Francisco on November 18, 1962. Like his band members he is in his late forties, forty eight to be exact. I know it don’t matter much, but one of the things I used to wonder about when I started liking Metallica was “what ethnic background did Kirk Hammett come from”? I only wanted to know because I didn’t know if he was a Latino like Carlos Santana, or some other race like Portuguese or Asian. Come to find out, he is part Filapino, and part Irish. I was like wow, that is wicked cool, not only is he a great guitarist, he is also half of a nationality that one of my best friends was. Hammett was an individual that loved experimenting with sound, and style. One of the first guitars he owned was a replica of a 1978 Fender Stratocaster. After altering the Fender copy with pick-ups, and other parts, he finally got his hands on a ‘Flying V’ made by Gibson. The one thing that he didn’t have for his awesome new instrument was an amp. After working at McDonald’s for a while he was able to save up and by himself a Marshall. After time pasted he landed one of his first gigs with a band called “Exodus” back in the early eighties. Once 1983 rolled around he auditioned for Metallica and replaced Dave Mustaine as lead guitarist. What Hammett is best known for is his style of playing. Whenever he goes on stage he always wraps up the hand that he picks with because of his harsh, fast playing, and how he is continuously using the excessive palm muting technique. He also likes to use the wah-wah pedal when playing solos. Kirk Hammett is the physical form of the word ‘guitarist’. He is one of the best on my list, and alongside Hammett is Sole Hudson, or Slash. I think you will find that drawing Kirk Hammett is going to be fun, and very entertaining. He is one of the original remaining members of Metallica, and even though he doesn’t do solos like he used too, he is still great.
