How to Draw HellBoy

Description: In this next tutorial you will be learning how to draw Hellboy a character from Dark Horse Comics. I chose to draw Hellboy because I think he is an awesome character and he is also one of the few I like as far as a comic book character. Any comic figure that I draw and submit usually means I like them. Now let me talk about Hellboy because I know there might be some people out there that have no idea who he is. I will be describing him as I know him from the movie appose to how the character is from the comic, but I’m sure the two are very similar. First off there was this Russian named Grigori Rasputin and he was a mystical being that practiced magic. For many years folks though that Rasputin was dead, but what they didn’t know, he was on an island off the coast of Scotland building a device that will allow a portal to open and release the Seven Gods of Chaos, these Gods where monstrous beings that have been imprisoned for many, many, years. Even though Rasputin had magical capabilities, his magic isn’t powerful enough to keep the portal open long enough to wake the evil gods. The device he built will enhance his powers so that his plan becomes a reality. Right before he opens the portal he then turns to his servant/lover Ilsa Von Haupstien, she is also a Russian that is a part of the Nazi party along with his other employee Colonel Karl Ruprecht Kroenen who is labeled as being a brutal assassin. According to the movie Colonel Kroenen was decorated by Adolph Hitler for being one of the most brutal leaders that was a part of the Nazi Party. Together the three try and unleash pure evil onto the earth, but what they didn’t anticipate on is the United States knowing what there plans where. Soon after the portal is open soldiers try and close the portal so that the evil is not realesed. After Rasputin got sucked into the portal, Professor Bruttenholm leads a team of soldiers to look around the parameter and search for anything that may have come through the portal. A photographer along with the Doctor found an infant demon that happened to be a boy that was a bright color red and he had a hand of stone. They lured the little demon boy in with a Babe Ruth candy bar and eventually confiscated him. Later they named the infant demon Hellboy. Sixty years later Hellboy still resides with the Professor and works for the government as a weapon to rid the earth of scum. In this tutorial you will learn how to draw Hellboy step by step. The instructions are easy to read and understand making it that much easier to learn how to draw this red demon. I used the poster in my work station which happens to be in the basement. I’m also happy to say that Hellboy II is coming out this July. I think it’s the 11th. So enjoy this tutorial and you will be on your way to HELL.
