How to Draw Haku

1

Start with a circle for his head, and then draw the facial guidelines. Next, draw the body guidelines to form a frame for your Naruto character.

2

Next sketch out the shape of Haku's face, and then use the facial guidelines to draw the eye lines, nose, and mouth. You can also see the line for his head protector as well which means you have to add this too. Draw the two long strands of hair, and

Okay, now what you have to do is begin sketching out his awesomely formed hairstyle which is two long braids that fall down the sides of his face, and the rest of his hair is twisted up in a bun with sticks holding his hair in. Draw the head protecto

4

Begin sketching the shape and form of his kimono which is very baggy and big looking. The sleeves should be drawn to look like a traditional kimono like you see here, and don't be cheap when it comes to adding crease, and lining detail.

5

Finish drawing the sleeves, and then draw out the arms and hands. You will then draw the Kodo mask that he is holding in his right hand, and be sure to draw in the stripes on his sleeves to add texture to the shirt he s wearing.

6

Here you will start sketching out the sash that is holding up his kimono. You will then draw the length of his top, and then move to step seven. As you can see, his clothes are blowing in the wind.

7

Now that you have reached your last step, all you have to do is draw out his pants, which are very baggy looking, and then his legs. You will then add the stripes on his pants and shirt like you see here. But before you draw in those close knit strip

Well, when you are done, this is how Haku should come out looking like. All you have to do next is just color him in. I hope you had fun, and I also hope you join me for another fun filled lesson on Dragoart.com

Description: This is the lesson that I was talking about when I said I was going to submit another character from Naruto. Today, I am going to fill another age old request, and this time I will be showing you "how to draw Haku", step by step. Haku is a villain from the series that eventually ends up dying. He is from a village called “Land of Water”, and the symbol on his head protector represents where he comes from. Despite the name of Haku's village, instead of being called Land of Water, it should be called Land of Snow. I say this because all it does there is snow, snow, and snow. Before Haku was born, his village had undergone a lot of pain and suffering from a war that left people scarred for life. Some of the people that fought in this tragic war, possessed abilities called “kekkei genkai”. These types of abilities are so feared because of the sheer power behind the art. Now because of this, anybody that possesses this trait, is hated for the rest of their lives because villagers believe that such abilities, are only used for creating war, and more suffering. Let's get back to talking about Haku shall we? Anyways, he comes from parents that are simple farmers, and after each hard working day they like to relax in their homes and just live simple lives, and be a loving unified family. Unfortunately that love all changed when it was realized that Haku possessed the very same destructive gene that gave him kekkei genkai abilities. The gene came from his mothers side, and because of this, Haku has the ability called “Ice Release”. Haku's mother made a vow to herself not to ever share her secret that she is a carrier of kekkei genkai. She thought that if their was enough love, and peace, it would be enough to carry her life with Haku and his father for the rest of their lives. But that wasn't the case at all. The reason why Haku once walked alone, and left his village, is because his father found out about the secret that has been kept from him for so long. Once Haku's father found out that his wife and son where carriers of the hated gene, he immediately gathered a mob, and went after his wife and child. He ended up killing his wife, but Haku was not harmed because Haku killed his father first, and then the rest of the mob. Now that he was an orphan, he became a rouge, and to eat he would pick through garbage just to fill his belly with food. Eventually Haku met up with Zabuza, and when he did, Zabuza asked Haku to become his kekkei genkai shinobi, enabling Zabuza to have a perfect weapon. I think the sketch came out awesome, and when I look at the finished work, I wish that Naruto never killed him. Anyway, I think you guys will have a blast with this tutorial that will teach you in detail, "how to draw Haku", step by step. I still have three more tutorials to upload so stay tuned in my fellow friends and artists of Dragoart.com!
