How to Draw Chibi Fang, Maximum Ride

Begin with making a head shape, and then sketch in a face guide like so. Draw the neck and or body guide as well as the hip or pelvic area.

Here you will thicken the shape of the face and then draw in the three spears for the bangs.

Next, draw the large shaped eyes, and then make sure that the lining is thick and bold. Make the eyeballs and then sketch in the nose and eyebrows like so.

You will need to start the drawing process for the body and because he is a chibi, draw the arms and then proceed with drawing the body as well as the legs. Square off the bottom of the legs like so and you are done for this step.

Add the lining for the sleeves, short and pant line, as well as the cuffs at the bottom of the pants. Sketch in some wrinkle or creasing for the crotch area and then draw the zipper.

You will then finish off the whole body and head of Fang by drawing out the hair, and be sure there is a bun shape in back of the head. Add the length of the hair too before leaving this step.

Lastly, draw in the simple style wings like so, and then begin cleaning up the drawing.

Description: I was thinking about it, and I couldn’t go without making a lesson for the other popular figure from Maximum Ride. Here is a chibi version on Fang, which means you will learn "how to draw chibi Fang", step by step. He is such an awesome looking character and I love how he came out looking. In all honesty I think Fang came out way better than Max. Another reason why I decided to make a lesson on drawing chibi Fang is because I know people are going to ask for him anyway so I might as well kill two birds with one stone. I think you will enjoy this tutorial because even though Fang looks a bit complicated to draw as a chibi, he really isn’t. All you have to do is follow the steps and read the instructions.
