How to Draw Bettie Page

Artist: Dawn / March 4, 2014

Step 1.

Let us begin with sketching or drawing out the circle for the head, then sketch in the facial guidelines.

Step 2.

You will now begin sketching out the actual structure of her face shape, then draw in the low hanging bangs which run straight across the forehead.

Step 3.

Instead of working in her face, we will sketch out the shape of her neck, then draw the shoulders.

Step 4.

Take your time as you draw out her hairstyle. This will also make up the shape for her head. Add the curls to her bouncy looking hair, then proceed to step five.

Step 5.

Use the facial guidelines to draw out the eyebrows and color them in as well. When that is done you can draw the top eyelid lines. Make sure they are thick, and the lashes are added as well.

Step 6.

Finish drawing Bettie's eyes, then add that indent on the left side for the nose.

Step 7.

Up next, sketch out the shape of her nose, then draw in the top lip, frown lines around the mouth, then move along to the next drawing step.

Step 8.

This is the last drawing step. All you have to do is draw the bottom lip in a style that she is smiling with her teeth showing. When that is done you can start erasing the mistakes.

Step 9.

Good job folks, you have finished this lesson on drawing Bettie Page. Now you can color in this vintage model to make her look like a pinup gal.
