How to Draw Balto
1
Step one is all about how to draw Balto's body frame. Start with a circle for his head and then draw the other two circles for the chest, and rear end. Add the limb guidelines and then the tail line.
2
In this second step you will start sketching out the back of Balto's head and back as well as his ears, eyes, snout and nose.
3
As you can see this is a very easy tutorial to follow. Start step three by sketching out the top of Balto's head and then finish off his mouth and ears. Be sure to add a nice smile for the beautiful dog.
4
Detail the inside of his ear and then you will learn how to draw Balto's eyes. Once his eyes are done sketch out the fury looking broad chest and then move to the next step.
5
Continue to sketch out the back end of Balto's body which includes the tail and hind leg. Sketch out the chest and part of front leg shoulder and move to the next step.
6
Start drawing out the front leg shapes and then the paws. Draw the shape and lining for the under belly and then the hind leg in more shape and detail.
7
As you can see you are almost done with this tutorial lesson on "how to draw Balto characters step by step". What I want you to do now is finish drawing out the front and back legs and then the paws. Add the fur color marking lines on the lower legs
8
Ruffle up Balto's tail and then finish drawing out the inner hind leg as seen here. You will then erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up your drawing.

Description: Happy Memorial Day everyone and I hope that you are enjoying a bright sunny day today. Memorial day is about bravery and to remember the ones that fought for our country (U.S. that is). Since we are celebrating such a day I wanted to do a tutorial on “how to draw Balto the wolf step by step” from the awesome movie that I used to watch when I was a kid and still watch as a young adult. Balto is suppose to be a true story about a dog/wolf that saved a bunch of kids that were dying from a flu like sickness. He did this by pulling a dog sled and it's team six hundred miles over ice, snow and rough terrain to deliver a diphtheria antitoxin serum to the town of Nome Alaska. Although the animated movie of this daring race for life explains how Balto was half wolf, there is no mention of this being a fact from real articles about the brave dog. All I know is that Balto was a black Siberian Husky owned by Samuel Balto and Samuel felt that Balto was not a suitable breeding dog. Because of this he had him neutered when he was six months old which lead people to believe that he was of wolf descent as well. The movie was great, as a matter of fact all three Balto movies were awesome. Some of my favorite characters were Jenna, Boris the Russian snow goose, and Steele the main villain of the movie. The tutorial that I am submitting for you now will show you “how to draw Balto the wolf step by step”. I had a lot of fun doing this sketch and I know that there is a tutorial at DragoArt already on Balto that was done by “Min_Mikki”, but I wanted to draw Balto's body and everything. So, I hope you like this lesson, I will return with more drawing fun in a while so stay tuned.
