Step 2.
Using the circle begin drawing the side or profile for the dragon's face. The small round shape is the nose, followed by the whisker.

Step 4.
Add four teeth, pointed cone shaped teeth. When that is done you can draw in the large tongue.

Step 6.
We will begin drawing the Chinese dragon's tribal face starting with the thick, bushy eyebrows. When that is done make small dots for the eyes, then draw some frill pieces on the top of the head.

Step 8.
For the last drawing step you will first erase the guides and then draw in the neck by making the scales. Color in the larger scales first, then create the smaller ones.

Step 9.
Here is the finished drawing of your new tribal Chinese dragon. It is now time to color in the art or of course you can leave it black and white.

Description:
Here is a really cool concept and design on a Chinese dragon. I try and read all my messages that come through Dragoart's Facebook page and with one the messages two people asked for more tribal art tutorials and so here is the first on "how to draw a tribal Chinese dragon", step by step. I made this tribal dragon from a side or profile view so the task wouldn't be so complicated to tackle. I can remember a time in my life when all I would draw were Chinese dragons. Some of those very same first pieces can be found in the dragon section of the Dragoart categories. Anyways, have fun and enjoy.
