1

Start with a circle for the head and then draw in some facial guides using a light stroke. Draw the body shape and you can proceed to step two.

2

Thicken the shape of the head and then draw in some cute bear style ears.

3

Next, draw the stitch line down the center of the face and then color in two beady eyes like so. You will then draw a diamond shaped nose, and make a smile too. Add some detail to the ears and you're done for now.

4

Okay as you can tell you are almost done with this tutorial. Draw the teddy bear arms, and then cap them off with hand lines.

5

Thicken the belly or body like so, and then sketch in a vertical line down the center of the body. Draw the teddy bear legs, and then cap off with stitch lines. Erase the mistakes you may have made along the way.

6

Here is the line art when you are all done. Color in your teddy bear and personalize him/her to your liking.

Description: Low and behold I do not have a tutorial on something so basic that should have been created for the kids that come to Dragoart.com. I can't believe I never made a lesson on "how to draw a teddy bear for kids", step by step. How could I forget to do something so basic when it is kids that buy and snuggle with teddy bears? I myself used to have a teddy bear, but after having it so long he eventually became broken and torn. I tried fixing him several times before I said good-bye to my dear friend that had been with me since I was three. Anyways, this is what he looked like, but not in such a pristine version. I do think that you will enjoy drawing a teddy bear for kids because he is such a cute little guy to draw. If you want to change this boy bear into a girl bear, all you have to do is add a cute pink ribbon around the neck. Thanks guys and I hope you enjoy this tutorial.
