How to draw a Realistic Bighorn Sheep

Start off by drawing the basic guidelines for the head.

Now draw some circles that will represent the horns.

Next, draw the neck and the rest of his right horn.

Now fill in the details.

Then, draw some fur lines on the face.

Next add the groove lines in his horns. This part is a bit more challenging, but don't worry, you can take your time. I've fond that if I get frustrated with a drawing its better to just walk away for awhile andcome back later rather than pushing you

Now, draw the rest of the grooves on his other horn.

Now, we'll start shading. Armed with a 5B pencil and an eraser, start by darkening the grooves, then shade on the inner part of the horn.

Keep shading until your horn looks like this. Now its time to move on.

Do the same with the other horn. Make sure that you shade darker on a good part of the horn near his nose, since it is coming out from behind his head.

Finally add the rest of the details and shade in the face. Now you're done!

Description: OK, so I'll be starting a new drawing series, the theme being "Realistic Yellowstone Animals" prompted by my grandparents' trip to Yellowstone and all the pictures they sent back. The first is this, the Bighorn Sheep, AKA Wild Ram.
