Step 1.

First start off with two circles with the bigger one over lapping the smaller one.

Step 2.

Then start sketching out the head by adding some simple lines as shown above.

Step 3.

Now draw his mean looking eye and another circle in the lower left part of the sketch for his left wing.

Step 4.

Put some detail in the left wing and give him and eye ball. Also on the far lower right of the sketch that is going to be his chest, draw that as well.

Step 5.

Draw the lining for his beak and define the hawks eye some more

Step 6.

As you can see the eagle is taking form. add more definition to his beak and proceed onto the next step.

Step 7.

That's it your done simple right. Just erase the sketch lines and color him in.

Description: In this tutorial I will show you how to draw a Red Tail Hawk online with a few simple steps. But first did you know that in most movies where they show an eagle flying around, they always use the hawks caw to make the eagle sound bolder. The red tailed hawk is a mid- sized bird of prey. They live throughout North America from Alaska and Canada all the way to Panama. If you study a red tail hawk from North America they have a white chest with slight v marks and are about 20-26 inches in length, and with an impressive wing span of 44- 60 inches, wow! I thought it would be cool to create a tutorial on a red tail hawk, the instructions are simple I only sketched out the head part of this animal because of the detail in his face. The whole process to sketch out on paper is indeed consumes a lot of time when drawing the details in the feathers and the coloring of them as well. Iā€™d say this sketch took me two days, the reason it took me so long is because I took that extra time to color him. Iā€™m actually going to frame this sketch that is how good it came out on paper. I did upload the image onto my comp as usual and worked from there. Well here you have it the Red Tailed Hawk. Have fun teaching yourself "how to draw a hawk", one of the most popular birds in the world. Peace people, and have a happy drawing day!
