How to Draw a Golden Retriever Easy

Step 1.


Start off with some guides like you see here. There should be two shapes, one for the head and another for the body. You will then draw the leg guidelines too.

Step 2.


Up next, draw in the retrievers snout or muzzle in a very simple form. Add the nose and the whisker holes too.

Step 3.


We will now draw in more of the dog's head and then draw the jawline. This happy puppy has his tongue hanging out so go ahead and draw in the tongue. You will also draw the cute tuft of hair on top of his head too. Oh, don't forget to give Benny B an   

Step 4.


Up next, draw in the ear and then you can proceed to step five.

Step 5.


Sketch in the front part of the neck and then sketch in the fury back part of the neck. You should also give this pooch a fluffy coat since Golden Retrievers are fluffy dogs.

Step 6.


We will move down to the lower part of the body. Start with the front legs and then the paws. Add some hair on the back of the dog's elbow too.

Step 7.


Almost done. Draw the lining for the shoulders and back, then draw the hind leg and back paw. Retrievers are hearty animals so be sure to make this dog look hearty.

Step 8.


Final step guys. Just draw in the other leg and then draw the big, long bushy tail. Erase the mistakes if you made any and the guides.

Step 9.


That's it. You are all done. Now that you have finished this lesson your lineart should look like the one in this tutorial. Color in your Golden and show off your work to others and even upload your art.

Description: Okay, so my friend has a new Golden Retriever that she adopted from the animal shelter and his name is Benny B. This dog is super cute and is super smart, but he was also abused as a pup or at least that is what the shelter had told us. I was looking for a kitty so I went with her when she found Benny B. My friend's daughter wanted to make a picture of Benny B, but she didn't know how to do it. Golden Retrievers are fun dogs full of spunk and energy. I don't know how anyone could ever think about abusing these animals or any other animal for that matter.
