How to Draw a Barbarian
1
First begin by drawing a few shapes for the guides. This includes the head and torso for the barbarian and then the head guide for the serpent slain.
2
We will now use the head guide to define the shape of the girl's face like so. Also draw in a headband around the top of her head.
3
Complete the head by drawing in the hair. There should be a couple bumps at the top of the hairstyle from the headband pinching the hair tightly. She has long thick hair so be sure to draw some body to the hairstyle.
4
We will now use the facial guidelines to draw out her eyes. As you can see the upper lids are very thick, bold and very expressive.
5
Next, begin drawing her body. Start with the left arm and torso. Then draw the sword she is holding in her hand. You can add wrap around the base of the sword as well as a hand guard.
6
All barbarians wear the same clothing no matter if you are a man or woman. Here you will draw in the leather bound shirt and then draw the legs and feet.
7
Add some blood on the blade of the sword and some speckles scattered about. When that is done you can draw in more of her hair in the back.
8
Almost done folks. We will draw the snake's head which is cut off and to be more dramatic I drew it being tossed through the air from the power of the slice. Add the eyes, some jagged skin ends and the eye.
9
Lastly, add detailing to the head and then you can begin erasing the mistakes and guidelines to finish everything off.

Description: Hey there people. Today I have a variety of lessons that I think everyone will be happy with. Let's start with something pretty cool and learn how to draw a barbarian, step by step. As you can see this is not your typical barbarian. Instead of a he, this is a she and she is bad in so many ways it's not funny. Anyway, what inspired me to draw a female barbarian was the movie 'Conan the Barbarian'. I thought that Conan's love interest was so awesome and I tried to show how much I liked her by adding some blood on the sword and by having a snake head floating in the air from begin chopped off. As you can also see, this barbarian has red colored hair (like me). This is really fun lesson to tackle if you like drawing warriors and stuff. I will be back with other cool tuts for you so stay tuned in.
