Draw Scyther from Pokemon, Pokemon Go

Artist: Dawn / July 14, 2016

Step 1.

Do the obvious first and that is draw in the shapes and guides for your new Pokemon character drawing.

Step 2.

Next, begin drawing the snout and mouth for Scyther's face and then draw the wrinkling along the snout and the shape of the eye. Also, draw in the spikes to form the shape of the head.

Step 3.

You can now finish the face by drawing the front teeth, rest of the mouth lining, and then the nostrils and eye.

Step 4.

The fun really starts now. Draw in the torso for this Pokemon monster, and when that is done you can draw the arms and the blades for the hands or rest of the arm shape. Add detailing and definition to the arms and blades as well.

Step 5.

Draw in more of the body which at this point looks like the abdomen of a bumble bee. Add the flare part to the back shape which is also like a beetle wing.

Step 6.

Okay folks, last drawing step. Draw the thighs, mid section of the legs and then draw in the wide shaped feet. Don't forget the claws for toes, and then you should erase the mistakes and guides.

Step 7.

That's it. Here is the line art. Color in this super cool looking Pokemon before showing off your drawing.

Description: While reading an article today about the histerical craze over Pokemon Go, it also included a list of some of the more highly sought after Pokemon that are hard to capture. This lesson is actually going to be on one of those Pokemon. Here is how to draw Scyther, step by step. I can see why this is a highly unique Pokemon to catch. I mean look at the thing, it's a freakin beast. The hands or lower arms are made to resemble blades from a Scythe. The dragon like appearance is also a very cool factor as well. Anyways, have fun with drawing Scyther and I will be back in a bit with other tuts for you all.
