Description: I’m sure everyone has heard that one of the world’s most famous singers, songwriters, actress, and performers has passed away. She was only forty eight years old, but she will be remembered for always. Since I know a lot of people will want to tackle this tutorial, I wanted to make sure that everyone would be able to take on such a fantastic task. So today I will be showing you "how to draw Whitney Houston", step by step. Whitney was born on August 9, 1963 in Newark, New Jersey and she was brought up in a middle income household. Her father was John Houston and her mother was Cissy Houston. When Whitney was only eleven years old she began singing in the church choir. She also had the privilege to learn how to play the piano as well as sing in the junior gospel of the New Hope Baptist Church. She started singing professionally when she was only fourteen years old as a backup singer for Michael Zager Band. Later on over a few years, Whitney started modeling in magazines like Seventeen, Glamour, and Cosmopolitan. She also starred in a Canada Dry commercial, and after her work with posing in magazines, Whitney Houston became a popular face that people wanted on the covers of their magazines. Her innocent looks, and girly charisma made it that much easier for her to get recognized even quicker. Even though she has been around for years, I will always remember her for the songs that my mother used to play over and over again; “How will I Know, Greatest Love of All, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, Didn’t We Almost Have it All, So Emotional, Where do Broken Hearts Go, and my personal favorite, I Will Always Love You” from the movie she did with Kevin Costner The Body Guard. I think you guys will find that drawing Whitney Houston is going to be a whole lot easier than you thought it could be. I do hope you have fun with this lesson; I did enjoy making it as a tribute to Whitney Houston. Thanks guys and enjoy!
