How to Draw the Taj Mahal

First a few basic shapes for the draw the guidelines of the building and the towers and the river in front.

Now you will follow the guidelines you’ve just did in step one and build in the outlines of the whole structure. You will draw the shape of the roofs like a Hershey’s kiss chocolate.

Add in the details of the structure, such as the cone shaped designs in the building. And you will also fill in the other towers that are attached on the building. Then draw the side walks around the river.

Then you will draw more details in the building such as the windows and doors. And the designs on top of the roofs. You will also fill the page with the garden in front of the Taj Mahal. Since this part isn’t the most important part of the drawing

Last but not least, toy will draw the calligraphy on the pishtaq and the desaigns around the building, since its really far away, we jut need to do few important parts of the structure, no need to get into all the little details .

We did it! Now you have a cool drawing of the notorious Taj Mahal from India.

Description: Hello again! Today we are going to do more drawings of famous places. And this time I will show you "<em>how to draw the Taj Mahal</em>" from India. Before I started to do this drawing, I thought this will be as hard as the Great Wall of China. But After I broke then into steps, I found out, it is actually pretty easy, because the building is basically shaped in circles and square. It might seem a little bit complicated now, but I’m sure once you get into it, you will feel the same way! The over three hundred year old structure was built by Mughal Emperor Shan Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The building began around 1632 and was completed around 1653 by thousands of craftsmen. Its amazing how you can build such a complex building in just 21 years, not to mention with the technology back then. I know an apartment building in Taipei took over ten years to rebuild after the 7.6 big earthquake in 2000, they are still working on its foundation now. Anyway, if you’ve seen the movie Slumdog millionaire, remember the seen when Jamal and his brother was stealing shoes from tourists, that great big building is the Taj mahal. If you have not seen the movie yet, put it on your Netflix list, because you are definitely missing out the big Academy winner in 2008.
