How to Draw Mokona, Mokona From XXXHolic

Step 1.

Begin by making a small cone like shape for the entire body and head of this creature.

Step 2.

Draw out the base of the body just by going over the original shape that you made in step one. Once that is done you can draw in the long narrow shapes of the feet.

Step 3.

Cap off the top to form the head, then draw the long rounded ears which also have some fluff near the sides of the face or head like you see here.

Step 4.

Lastly, draw in the small circle shaped jewel in the center of the forehead like so, then draw in the eyes, mouth, hands, and marking lines on the ears.

Step 5.

Here is what your new character drawing looks like. You will now color it in to your liking.

Description: For this lesson I have in store for all you anime manga nuts, I will be showing you "how to draw Mokona", step by step from xxxHolic. The Mokona Modoki are rabbit like creatures that are a pair. One is white and the other is black. Even though they are almost always refereed to as Mokona, they do have their own names. The one you will be drawing today is the black Mokona, and it's name is Larg. The white Mokona is Soel, and together they are genetic copies of the original Mokona who appears in a Clamp series called 'Magic Knight Rayearth'. Larg and Soel where created by Yuko Ichihara, and Clow Reed. They are practically adorable and have the personalities of cute bunnies. Not only are these characters fun to look at, they are also very easy to draw. You could actually use this lesson to draw Mokona as a pair because all you have to do is color on another black and white. I'm not too familiar with their origins, but if your a fan of xxxHolic you should enjoy this tutorial either way.
