How to Draw Buddy from The Nut Job
1
Like always let's start out by drawing the basic guidelines to create the framework for your new character. Draw the three circles for the head, torso and lower part of Buddy's body.
2
Begin drawing out the snout like so, and notice how the mouth is wide open. You know how rats are always ready to put something in their mouths.
3
You will now draw out the big round bulging eyes like so, then draw in some lid skin for the eye lids. Add the iris' and pupils too.
4
Buddy should have a very excited look on his face. Sketch out the shape of his head and be sure to make the cheeks bushy or hairy. Draw the nose and ears, and when you draw those ears make some notches. This is a street rat, so naturally street rats
6
Sketch out the shape of his skinny neck, then draw the hairy chest, long arms and then the rounded tipped fingers.
7
You are already almost done with drawing Buddy. Just a few more steps to go and you are home. Draw the body shape which is like a pear, then at the legs or thighs be sure to make the lining appear hairy.
9
Lastly, like all rats you will draw in the nasty looking tail. That is it. You can start erasing those mistakes and guides.
