How to Draw Blu
1
Begin by making the shapes and guidelines to create a workable frame for your macaw that you will be drawing. As you can see, I started by making an oval shape for the head, and then another round shape for the body. Connect the head to the body by d

Now, Blu is arching his head back making his beak more prominent then the rest of his head. You will need to draw the large arched beak, and then sketch out the head, and neck. When drawing the head of Blu, be sure to add some feathery fuzz as well,

Finish drawing out the beak, and then draw in the eye like so. Make a dark circle for the pupil, and then begin sketching out the widespread wing span that this excited macaw has.

Description: There is a movie coming out in April of 2011 called Rio. I don’t know the specifics yet, but I’m sure some of you may have seen a preview for the flick while you were watching television, or a movie. From what I gathered, the movie follows a bird as he and his friend go on this epic adventure. Today, you will be learning "how to draw Blu", step by step. Blu is the main character of the movie, and he sets off on his journey alone from Minnesota, in search of the love of his life. Blu wanted to go on this journey because for a long time he thought he was the last of his kind which is totally understandable since he is a caged animal and lives as someone’s pet. He later meets another blue colored macaw named Jewel, who is voiced by Anne Hathaway. Blu is voiced by Jesse Eisenberg, who is the main character from the movie “Zombieland”, you know, the kid with the big curly hair that was Woody Harrelson’s zombie slaying buddy. Anyways if you like birds you will love this tutorial on "how to draw Blu". I will be back in a minute with more drawing fun so stay tuned in to see what else I have in store. Peace!
