How to Draw BB-8

How to Draw BB-8

Step 1.


Start with a perfect circle for the body of the sphere shaped droid like so.

Step 2.


Once that is done you can draw the other circle shapes around the ball which are more like bands then single lined circles.

Step 3.


Add the construction design on the insides of each circle. This should be all technical looking and whatnot.

Step 4.


We will then add the seam lines throughout BB-8's body and then add smaller circles for the operating holes.

Step 5.


You are almost done. Here you will draw in the dome shaped head, followed by the lenses or eyepieces on the face.

Step 6.


In this step just sketch in the remaining detailing. You will notice that BB-8 looks a lot like R2-D2 or the head does at least. When you're done just erase your mistakes.

Step 7.

Today, I will be giving you a lesson that will show you how to draw the cool BB-8 droid that you will see in the new Star Wars movie coming in December. Now from what I've found out about this droid is that BB-8 is an astromech droid that belonged to Poe Dameron, who was a T-70 X-wing pilot. BB-8 has a dome shaped head and the rest of his body is a perfect sphere. He is white in color with trims of orange and silver. To get around he rolls like a ball and is very fast. Drawing BB-8 is going to be both fun and easy, so if you have been waiting for this tut, you can enjoy it now.
