How to Draw an Armadillo

1

Start with a small oblong shape for the armadillo's head, then draw a bean like shape for the body.

2

Begin sketching out the actual shape of the armadillo's head and face like so. The ears will also need to be drawn in and they should be slender and sort of long.

3

Color in the eyebrow, then sketch in all the wrinkle or crease lines scattered on the face. Draw in the nose and ear definition.

4

In this step you will draw the first section of the armadillo's body. Draw the front legs as well as the claws.

5

For this step you will need to draw the armored body which has a spring like look in the center. The body starts to slant down at the back end.

6

Almost done guys. Draw the legs and the rest of the nails or claws.

7

Draw out the rat style tail. Notice how the tail has sectioned pieces. The further you go down, the smaller the scales get.

8

Lastly, sketch in all of the detailing on the body, and legs. Make the details look scratchy. Erase the mistakes then you're done.

9

Here is your armadillo when you are all done. You can color in the animal now that you're finished then show the world what you have created.
