How to Draw an Anime Indian

Artist: Dawn / June 26, 2014

Step 1.

This anime Indian is more like a chibi so you will approach this lesson as such. Start with the shape of her face and incorporate the ear shape.

Step 2.

Cap off the empty section by drawing the shape of her head which also happens to be her hair. The hairstyle is a braid with the bangs being parted.

Step 3.

You will now draw the earring and then add detailing inside of her ear.

Step 4.

Add the jewel that goes down the Indian girls parted crease on her head like so, then draw in the eyebrows and draw or color in the Bindi in the center of the forehead between the eyebrows.

Step 5.

Now you can draw in the thick arches for the Indian girls big eyes like so. Notice how the lash flares out.

Step 6.

Finish the eye shapes then make the line for her mouth.

Step 7.

Draw in the shape of her neck then the small shoulders, torso and breast.

Step 8.

Add the sash that flows across the torso like so, then draw in the neck jewelry. Add the arms and move to step nine.

Step 9.

Lastly, draw in the long twisted braid, then erase the mistakes if you made any.

Step 10.

That's it, you are done. Now have some fun coloring in your Indian girl.

Description: If you have watched me draw live you should already know that I have been listening to Indian themed music for a long while and I plan on visiting India one day as it's on my 'Bucket List' of things to do before I die or get too old. I love their culture, their food, and all the spices. I felt compelled to make a lesson on how to draw an anime Indian, step by step. She is such a pretty anime figure and has big brown eyes with her pretty long brown hair. I love her clothing and all the colors as well as the jewelry. Drawing an anime Indian was very fun for me, in fact I had a great time with experimenting with the concept. I got to use the colors I love which means if you like Indian culture you should enjoy this lesson. I have to go because there is more tuts for me to upload. Have fun and be sure to let me know what you think.
