1

This is a very, very simple first step. All you have to do is draw a slanted horizontal line which is going to be the base guide for the AK.

2

Using the guideline begin drawing the hardware of your assault riffle starting with the whole receiver of the gun's design. The AK-47 comes milled or stamped, and I think in this case we will draw the milled version which is a solid piece of steel. D

3

Now is the time to start sketching out the hand-guard, as well as the barrel and gas chamber. Don't forget to draw in the front sight, as well as the flash. Add some detailing and then move to step four.

4

Now is the time that you will be drawing the pistol grip, and then draw the trigger and casing.

5

For the last drawing step you will need to draw in the magazine clip, and then draw some bullets flying out from the rifle. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up the drawing and prepare it for color.

Here it is folks, the finished results. You are all done and now you can begin your coloring job. I hope you enjoyed drawing the AK-47 assault riffle.

Description: The AK-47 is definitely a mean looking rifle. The history of this gun is pretty cool too, like where it came from, who came up with the idea for it, and etc. AK-47 is an abbreviation for “Automatic Kalashnikov rifle of 1947”. This rifle was used by the Soviet Union and other countries in Central and Eastern Europe during the Cold War. It was designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov and introduced in 1947. This high powered rifle compared to other auto-loading units was by far the most compact, sufficient power and range, and it had the capability of selective fire; it was truly a durable and easy to use weapon of its time. It is also a very inexpensive piece of hardware to produce and it is very easy to maintain. Lack of durability is definitely not a factor when it comes to the AK-47, it was designed to withstand a beating that is associated with wars like mud, water, getting slammed around and I think you get the point. The number of Ak-47 assault rifles built is already at one hundred million, and it is being used today by most military armies all over the world. The specs on the AK-47 are as follows; it weighs in with an empty cartridge at 8.4 pounds and fully loaded at 9.5 pounds, it is close to 35 inches in length which is at the tip of being 3 feet long, a barrel length of 16.3 inches, it has a 7.62x39mm M43 cartridge, gas operated with rotating bolt, sets off 600 rounds a minute, it has a 330 yard range, 30 round removable box magazine and 75 round drum magazine, and adjustable iron sights. The AK-47 is a gun with a history and it will be remembered through out time. Learning "how to draw an Ak-47" Assault Rifle online is relatively easy, and has detailed step by step instructions. I hope you fun drawing this particular gun and I will see you shortly with another favorite of mine.
