How to Draw a Stingray
1
Start the first step by drawing an egg shape, and then draw in the guidelines for the mid section of the fish's body, and then draw out the line for the tail or spine.
2
Now you will begin sketching out the actual shape of the stingray's body which consists of the front of the head, and then the side fins which is attached to the head like so. Add a ripple to fin edge to make it look like the stingray is swimming.
3
Here you will draw out two mounds which will be the sockets for the eyes. When the mounds are drawn out you can color in the eyes and leave behind white spots.
4
Draw the rim line for the front of the stingray's body which exposes the underbelly just a bit. Next, add some detailing and definition along the sides of the head, and move to step five.
5
Okay, now to finish things off you will draw out the back end of the stingray and then the tail. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one, and then move to see how your stingray looks.

Description: When you think of a stingray the first thing that comes to mind is a flat looking fish creature that has floppy loose looking fins, and a sharp penetrating tail. You never wonder how big these animals might be or how odd they really are. This tutorial is going to show you "how to draw a stingray", step by step, but first lets talk a bit on this water creature that lives at the bottom of oceans buried in the sand. First off, the stingray is not no small fish. If you where to cmapre the size of a stingray to that of a human man, you would see that a stingray stands almost seven feet in length. If that's not enough, these incredibly intriguing animals grow to be as big as seven hundred, ninety pounds, and they can live in the wild from anywhere between fifteen and twenty five years. Did you know that stingrays spend almost the whole day just sitting buried under the sand at the bottom of shallow waters? Its true guys, the stingray is a really inactive fish. Even though they are so big, they hardly move unless they are flowing with the current. The body of a stingray is flat, and they have pectoral fins that are joined to the head and trunk. Behind their bodies is the long, hard, pointed tail that is called a "spine or barb". Sometimes the spine can have serrated edges and an incredibly sharp point. Drawing this animal is going to be super simple because the overall shape of the stingray is almost like a diamond. It looks like I completed this description on "how to draw a stingray", now you can have fun tackling this tutorial which will enable you to gain another drawing skill. Have fun people and remmebr to stay tuned in for more.
