How to Draw a Skull Rose

Step 1.


Start by drawing two circles with a smaller one inside of the larger one. When this is done add the facial guidelines.

Step 2.


Now begin sketching out the actual shape of the small skull that is in the middle of the rose. As you can see the skull has very prominent cheek bones, and a full row of top skeletal teeth.

Step 3.


Before you go any further with the skull, you will need to sketch out the petals of the rose in a spread out formation like you see here. When roses are bloomed fully, you can see the very center of the rose. Once the petals are drawn, move to the ne   

Step 4.


Continue to draw out the petals and then when that is all set, you can draw out the eye sockets, and the nose hole. Color all three holes in and then add some definition.

Step 5.


For the last step draw out the bones, and then draw out the leaves. You have to make sure that the leaves contain serrated edges and a definition line in the middle. Erase all the unwanted lines and shapes you drew in step one.

Step 6.

Description: Remember yesterday when I said that I was going to submit lessons on all skull related tutorials? Well, I forgot to upload some of the submissions due to the fact that I was preoccupied with something else. So today, I will be uploading the remainder of the drawings that I didn't submit yesterday. Learning "how to draw a skull rose", is not only going to be fun, it is also going to be very creative as well. I wanted to make skull designs that where not only unique, but awesome as well. I think you will have a blast with this tutorial because you will be drawing a skull and a rose at the same time. The best part about these concept art drawings, is the fact you can tweak them to look like anything you want. You can add some more bones, roses, thorned vines, or what have you. One thing is certain there is a lot to think about when you draw a skull rose that is creative and fun.
