How to Draw a Happy Anime Face

First, draw the shape of the head, then draw out the shape of the body guide. You will then sketch in the facial guidelines before proceeding to step two.

Using the guide begin drawing the shape of the face which is sort of angled. You will then draw in the bangs which are strands and pointed.

Are you ready to draw in the happy face'? Good, let's get started. Start with the eyebrows, then draw the large wide open eyes. You will then draw the excited mouth, then add the nose and the blush marks on the cheeks.

Next, draw her long boyish hairstyle but you can draw any type of anime hair that you want. The ears should be drawn and the detailing inside the ears should also be sketched in.

Draw the neck, then sketch out the lining to form the shoulders and arms. Now once that is done you will draw the torso and shirt collar line.

For the last drawing step all you have to do is sketch out the hairstyle, then add detailing as well. Erase your mistakes then you are all set to go.

That's it, you are done with drawing a happy anime face. Now you can enjoy coloring in your drawing.

Description: It's been a long while since I did any anime concept lessons so because I felt like a nut, I went ahead and made a tutorial on "how to draw a happy anime face", step by step. Not only am I feeling a little perky, I also wanted to fill a few requests that wanted this type of tut. The face is a typical looking anime gal as she is cheesing happily for you all. The excitement in her face really conveys how happy she is. You can choose to draw a boy's face, and that can be achieved by leaving out the girly hair and by making the eyes slightly different.
