Description: Now that I should you how to draw a window and some candles, I will now teach you how to draw a couch. And with this tutorial that will make it my third out of the ordinary lesson for you to draw. I know it is kind of odd to do a tutorial on a couch, but I know that this object is something that is used in everyday life. People use couches to sit on, they turn into sofa beds which is a bed built into the couch and it is usually folded up and hidden under the cushions. If you don’t have a sofa bed than just a blanket and pillow will do as you lay and relax. The couch is sometimes called a sofa and they come as big and as small as you want. A love seat is built to seat two people, and full size couch or sofa seats three or more, and then you have the sectional which is a couch that is sectioned off in four or more pieces. There is also the futon that acts as a couch but then folds out into a single or full sized bed. Couches are pieces of furniture that are upholstered in either fabric or leather. They are placed in living rooms, dens, family rooms, and a lounge. You will also find a sofa in the office of almost every psychiatrist, and sometimes in waiting rooms of hospitals, lawyer offices, and salons or beauty parlors. Now it is said that the first couch or sofa was created back in the 17th century. These early pieces of furniture (such as the couch) used to be stuffed with feathers, horse hair and other types of fillers that maintained a cushioned feel. Later as the years progressed and mankind became more educated, the standered filling switched from feathers and horse hair, to plastic foam and water. Now days we use sofa foam to fill our couch cushions and beds. The couch has evolved into something more beautiful and well used piece of furniture that has ever been created. Without a couch we would be sitting on floors or kitchen chairs when we want to relax to read a book or watch TV. This tutorial will show you how to draw a standard couch step by step. Though it may not look comfy, it still serves the purpose of teaching you how to draw one. I will be back with other awesome tutorials but for now follow the steps to tackle this free online drawing lesson with ease.
