Step 1.

To draw a chimp you will need to start by sketching out the framework for your forest animal. Start with a circle for the head and then draw the other corresponding shapes that make up the body design. When that is done you can then draw the facial g

Step 2.

Using the facial guidelines you drew in step one, all you will have to do is start drawing a chimpanzee step by step. First sketch out the shape of the head, ears, face structure, and then the hair line around the face. Once that is done you can then

Step 3.

Add detailing or definition to the chimps face and forehead as you see here and then draw the eyebrows, nose, and mouth which is a simple grin. Next detail inside of the apes ears, and then start sketching out the chimps long semi-hairy arms starting

Step 4.

Draw the big belly of this relaxing ape and then draw the shape of the thighs, bottom, and feet or toes. Once that is done you can then add the shape of the belly button or navel hole.

Step 5.

Finish sketching out the legs and feet as well as adding some detailing or definition to the soles of the chimpanzee's feet. Once that is done you can go ahead and start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Step 6.

Now that you're done with this lesson on "how to draw a ape, step by step", you can start coloring in your chimp and maybe even give him/her a name. Great job everybody, and be sure to join me again for more drawing fun!

Description: I still have a few tutorials that will be going up today and I will start with a lesson that is cute, funny, and charming. Learning "how to draw a chimpanzee, step by step” will open new doors to drawing monkeys all together. These mammals are one of the worlds most recognized primates in existence. They are also the closest living cousins to the human being. Why are they the closest living cousin to us all? Well for one, they share a whopping ninety eight percent of our DNA making them almost human in nature. Like humans, they also love amongst large groups and share their habitats with other animals. Chimpanzee's are so much like us, they are even cable of walking upright as well as on all fours. Specialist that work with these chimps have even taught them how to communicate using sign language. Another awesome, and weird concept about chimpanzee's is how they can breed and give birth all year round. They can have a single baby, or on very rare occasions have twins. People have adopted chimps for pets, and unfortunately even though these animals are so much like us humans, they are on the endangered species list. Bushmeat hunters, as well as humans threatening their lives by destruction of their habitats. I guess you could say that these small apes are relatively peaceful. I mean they must be if they are able to live until they are forty five years old out in the wild. I think you will have fun with this tutorial that teaches you "how to draw a chimpanzee, step by step". As you can see I slightly modified the features and color to him/her easier to draw. I will be back soon with more drawing fun. Peace out and happy drawing!
