Drawing a Faun

Step 1.


Start off by drawing the guides for the head and torso like so. Remember you will be drawing this Faun fro a side profile view.

Step 2.


For the second step all you have to do is sketch out the forehead lining, then draw the nose, mouth or lips and then sketch in the chin which is covered with a goatee.

Step 3.


Use the facial guidelines to draw in the kind, peaceful eye. You will also draw the mouth line and the detailing on the Faun's cheek.

Step 4.


We will now sketch out the long wavy hair. This will form the shape of the head as well. When that is done add the small goat like horns and then draw the large ear with three hoop piercings.

Step 5.


Lastly, draw in the side profile view of the neck like so, then detail inside the ear and add definition to his hair. Erase whatever mistakes you might have made as well as the guides.

Step 6.


When you're done this is the line art. Add some color and you have yourself a finished drawing on a beautiful Faun.

Description: Today I have a special submission. It's on a creature from lore and the reason why I wanted to make this lesson is because I don't have but one, maybe two tutorials on this creature. So here is my beautiful new version of how to draw a faun, step by step. Now I didn't include the body because I was trying to capture what the faun are known for and that is peace, seclusion and unity. This profile view of the faun is so remarkable or at least to me it is. I based the faun's look on Robert Plant's hair and eyes. If the nose was larger and the face where a bit different, I think it would have came out looking just like Robert Plant. Anyways, have fun drawing a Faun, I really hope you like it because I love it.
