Step 1.
Let us begin with some simple guides. Draw a round shape for the head and then draw a rounded triangular shape for the torso. Add the limb guides next.

Step 2.
Begin to sketch out the face of this realistic Minotaur starting with the snout or nose. His mouth is open because he is snarling, so be sure to draw it that way. Add the hairy chin and jaw structure, then draw in the nose ring followed by the ears.

Step 3.
We will finish the head by drawing the steer like horns and the top part of the head. When that is done sketch in the face by drawing the eye, and teeth. Add detailing to the face to give this Minotaur a warrior's face or expression.

Step 4.
Sketch out the back part of the head and neck, then draw the arms and torso. Notice the muscle definition to the arms and neck. Be sure to add these qualities as well. Draw in the hand and metal bracelet, then proceed to step five.

Step 5.
You can now draw the hair down the back part of the neck, then add definition to the neck and collar bone. When that is done add detailing to the stomach and chest, then move along to step six.

Step 6.
Here we will finish off the body for this realistic Minotaur. Do this by sketching out the hairy loin covering which is actually part of the Minotaur's body. Then you can draw the thighs and legs. Notice the hair at the bottom of the legs. Detail the
legs for muscle definition.

Step 7.
For the last drawing step all you have to do is draw in the other iron bracelet and then the hooves. When that is completed erase the guidelines/shapes as well as the mistakes.

Step 8.
When all is said and done the drawing should end up looking like, or similar to the Minotaur you see here. Add some shading and color.

how to draw minotaurs
Description:
If you where to image what a real life Minotaur looks like, what would you picture? For me I imagine a man like bull that is massive in size and is as strong as a man and bull combined. He would have the head of that is enormous and majestic looking and have a build that was thick and full of girth. I was asked or it was suggested that I do more lessons on Greek Mythology creatures and one of those creatures was a realistic Minotaur. So that is what this lesson is on, drawing a realistic Minotaur, step by step. I am so in love with the way this Minotaur came out. It has all the qualities one would look for when searching for such a beast. I will label this lesson as intermediate because novice artists will have a challenge on their hands. Anyways, I do hope you enjoy this tut, I have more to come so stay tuned in.
