How to Draw Wirt From Over the Garden Wall

Make the guides for Wirt which is the head and body guides. You will then sketch in the facial guidelines then the legs.

You will use the head/face guide to sketch out the actual structure of Wirt's face and head. Also include the ears too.

Here we will draw in the cone shaped hat, then draw the crooked lined bangs for the hair and add detailing inside the ears.

Use the facial guidelines to draw the big eyes, then draw a triangle for the nose and a smile for Wirt's mouth.

This is where we will draw Wirt's cape instead of the body. The cape is long and covers his shoulders as well as some of the torso.

Draw the rest of Wirt's body starting with the hips, legs as well as the pants.

Draw in the rest of his legs and shoes before you proceed onto the last drawing step.

And lastly, add some buttons and then draw pockets, arms and the rest of the cape. Erase the mistakes and guidelines as well.

Here is what the final drawing looks like when you are done. Now all you have to do is color Wirt in from Over the Garden Wall.

Description: In case you haven't noticed, but there is a new mini series airing on Cartoon Network called Over the Garden Wall and it's supposed to be pretty good. I just found out about the new series because someone asked if I could make a few lessons on a couple characters from the new show. Having said that, here is how to draw Wirt from Over the Garden Wall. Wirt looks like a typical gnome and I think he may be. His character traits are not known by me yet because I didn't get to watch an episode yet, but I'm sure I will in a few days. I'll probably just go to Cartoon Network's website and watch a trailer or something there. Anyways, have fun drawing Wirt. I will return with more characters from Over the Garden Wall.
