How to Draw Uniqua from The Backyardigans

Step 1.

Start by drawing a circle for her head and then add the facial guidelines. You will attach the arm lines under her head a bit as you see, and then draw a neck and attach it to the torso or body shape. Lastly draw the limb lines for the legs.

Step 2.

Draw four polka dots on her face and then use the facial gudielines to draw out her eyes and color in her pupils.

Step 3.

Next you can now draw the antenna shapes and then start the drawing process of her arms and hand shapes. Make sure you give Uniqua some fingers too.

Step 4.

Draw the straps for her farmer-jeans or overalls, and then draw out her legs and or pant shape. Lastly you will draw some polka dots on her arms as you see here is color in some buttons.

Step 5.

This is your last drawing step and all you have to do is finish drawing out her outfit and her shoes. Add some more polka dots and erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Step 6.

Here is your unique character from Backyardigans when you are done. I hope you found this lesson on "how to draw Uniqua from Backyardigans" fun and easy to follow. I will be back next time folks with more drawing fun. Don't forget to rate and comment

Description: Another cartoon character that I have to do because my sister wanted me too is from the Nick Jr. animation called “The Backyardigans”. Now even though I am drawing this character for my baby sister, I have to admit that Like the show myself. One of the things I listen for is the opening and ending song; “your backyard friends, the Backyardigans! Together in the backyard again, in the place where we belong, where we'll prob'ly sing a song, and we'll maybe dance along. We've got the whole wide world in our yard to explore. We always find things we've never seen before. That's why every day we're back for more with your friends, the Backyardigans”. Now that I have told you why I like a Nick Jr. show that is intended for two through five year olds, let me tell you who you will draw. I am going to show you “how to draw Uniqua from Backyardigans” step by step. Now Uniqua is a very mysterious character because no one really know what she is. Her backyard friends are animals so she must be one too right? Lets see, Tasha is a hippo, Tyrone is a moose, Pablo is a penguin, and Austin is a kangaroo. Uniqua is called a pink creature or animal by me because as of right now, I have no idea what she is. Let me do some research real quick and I will be right back ok?… Well I found out what Uniqua was, she is nothing, she is her name. Another words, she is one of a kind which makes her unique, so the creator named her Uniqua which is also her species name. Who created the show you ask? Well, a woman named Janice Burgess created the series and it was totally inspired by her childhood. I choose to draw my sister Uniqua first because she reminds me of my sister in a lot of ways. First off Uniqua is a tomboy and she wears pink polka dot overalls to prove it. She is very strong minded and has no problems telling you how to is. Even though she is strong willed, she is also very sweet and caring. I like her personality and her attitude because my sis is just like that. I hope you guys will like and have fun with this lesson on “how to draw Uniqua from Backyardigans step by step”. I will be back later with more lessons for you all so stay tuned and keep on drawing!
