How to Draw Tom Smith, the Chocolate Guy From Spongebob

Step 1.

Make an egg shape for Tom's head then draw in the large wide mouth.

Step 2.

Draw the thick lips or fish lips like so, then draw in Tom's eyes which are also shaped like eggs.

Step 3.

Color in the pupils then draw in the vein lines from the stressed out expression on his face. Next, draw in the straight teeth as well as the tongue and mouth skin on the other side of the mouth. Add some detailing around the eyes before proceeding t

Step 4.

Complete the shape of Tom's head like so, then draw in the shirt collar as well as the shoulder for his arm.

Step 5.

Sketch in his dorsal fin which also acts as his hair. As you can see it's spiked.

Step 6.

Draw the arms and hands like so, then draw the sleeve on the other arm. Erase the mistakes then add some last minute detailing.

Step 7.

Here is Tom Smith when you are done. Now you can color him in to perfection to bring his crazy nature to life.

Description: It's not often that I make lessons on characters or figures from Spongebob Squarepants but since a member asked me to do so, I will make a tut on "how to draw Tom Smith", step by step. If you don't know, Tom made his debut in the episode 'Ripped Pants'. He was one of the fish in the bleachers who is going with the rest of the crowd on the beach. He is also known as the Chocolate guy. This is because in the episode 'Chocolate with Nuts', Spongebob and Patrick have another idea to make some extra money so they set up a stand to see chocolate. Tom is the first pedestrian that Spongebob and Patrick try to sell chocolate to. He later goes nuts over the chocolate proving to be one of the only episodes that really makes you want to watch Spongebob Squarepants other than just to watch the yellow sponge on television. Tom Smith is also nice to draw because he is a walking talking fish from one of my favorite cartoon shows on air today. I hope you all enjoy this tutorial on drawing a Spongebob character like Tom. I will be back soon so be sure to stay put. Peace people.
