How to Draw the Kremlin, Moscow Kremlin, Saint Basil Cathedral
1
Begin by drawing the stems for the base of each tower big and small. There is going to be a total of six. Once the bases are drawn, you can make the tear drop and triangular shaped caps or roofs on each tower.
2
Let's start with the tallest and biggest tower roof. Sketch out the shape of a triangle in a more defined way. Draw the drop shaped tip or top, then make some wave like lines that start the top of the buildings structure.
3
The next thing you will need to do is draw out another tower or building like so. Notice how this one is smaller, and different in design too.
5
You are basically going to repeat what you have been doing three times already. The design of the right smaller tower is exactly the same as the on the opposite side.
6
Sketch out yet another tower like so, Then draw one of the walls that runs through between the buildings.
7
Finally draw out the last building like so, then erase the mistakes and guides that you made so you have clean structures to draw the designs in.
8
Now you are ready to begin sketching out the designing to the buildings. Start with drawing the swirl or spiral like lines, then draw in the windows and more lining.
9
Proceed with doing the same exact thing with the same exact style on another building or the one to the left.
11
Add more building pattern to yet another structure. The only thing different this time is the roof design style. Instead of spiral lines, you will make small squares.
12
Repeat what you just did to the center tower. Take your time and when you're done move to the next, and last tower.
13
Now for the tower that is truly different in design then all the rest. Once you're done you can see what the line art is supposed to look like.

Description: Remember when I said that I was going to upload a tutorial based on something from Russia? Well, here is that tut. Today I will be showing you "how to draw the Kremlin", step by step. I know the lesson says Kremlin, but the building you see before you is actually called Saint Basil’s Cathedral which can be seen from the actual Kremlin. This historic complex is actually located in the very heart of Moscow. It not only overlooks Saint Basil Cathedral, other places like Moskva River, the Alexander Garden, and Red Square. Red Square is the city in Russia that separates the Kremlin from the citadel. Also, the Kremlin is actually where the President of Russia lives. The beautiful design of Saint Basil’s Cathedral is absolutely remarkable. It was built in 1555, and took six years to complete. The person that gave the orders to build one of a kind Cathedral was Ivan the Terrible. I had a lot of fun drawing Saint Basil’s Cathedral or the Kremlin and I made sure to try and break down the tutorial in an easy fashion so that others can get in on the fun. Well, I have to pounce out of here, (yes I said “Ponce”), but I will be back with more great fun for you all to explore and enjoy. Peace out people!
