How to Draw Peeta and Katniss

Step 1.


Are you all ready to get started? Good, let us do just that. Begin with the two head guides for both Peeta and Katniss. The combined head guides end up looking like a split heart.

Step 2.


We will begin by drawing Katniss first. Both Katniss and Peeta will be drawn from a side profile view. Having said that, draw the lining to form the forehead, nose, mouth, chin and jawline.

Step 3.


Up next, draw the head shape which is all done with Katniss' hairstyle. Her hair should be wavy, thick and simple.

Step 4.


Here you will draw in the braid that wraps around her head like a crown, then sketch out the shape of her ear.

Step 5.


We can now work on her face. Obviously her eyes are closed so when you tackle this step, draw the closed eye and draw in some long thick eyelashes.

Step 6.


You can finish Katniss' hairstyle which is just a few curls, then draw in her shoulder and arm.

Step 7.


We will complete Katniss by drawing her bow pouch or quiver, then draw in the arrows that are sticking out from the quiver.

Step 8.


Are you ready to draw Peeta next? Good, because his lips are locking on to Katniss' so you will need to draw the forehead, chin and jawline. Sketch out the shape of Peeta's ear, then draw in the head and hairstyle which his your typical semi short do   

Step 9.


When drawing Peeta's eye, notice how it's slightly peaking open. His lash should be thick but not as thick as Katniss'. Draw in the eyebrows, cheek indent and then add detailing to his ear and hair.

Step 10.


And for our last drawing step all you have to do is draw his neck, and his jacket. Start with the jacket collar, then sketch in the shoulder and all the wrinkling that goes with it. Erase your mistakes and guides as well.

Step 11.


Here is the finished drawing when you are done with creating a loving sketch of Peeta and Katniss in an embrace that is as sweet as it is innocent. Color in the art and you can then show it off.

Description: You don't know how many times I was asked to make a lesson on two Hunger Games characters in a lovers embrace. So, after a long wait, here is how to draw Peeta and Katniss, step by step holding and kissing one another like lovers do. The concept was pretty cool, but since I know that Katniss has a thing for Gale, but for those of you who have read the books, I think you know who she ends up with. Katniss and Peeta make an adorable couple and I can totally see why folks wanted this concept as a lesson. I hope you all enjoy drawing Peeta and Katniss.
