Description:
Today I wanted to submit a drawing on an individual that changed the way people listen to and create music. He is called the “King of Pop” and was a very influential part of many children both in the past and in the present. In remembrance of this man I will be showing you “
how to draw Michael Jackson”, step by step. Unlike other tutorials, I wanted to sketch out an image of Michael in a pose that many remembers him doing and a pose that he was popular for. He is wearing his famous white glove and white socks, with his hat that covers his eyes while he performs for you all. Michael Jackson was first a member of the Jackson 5 when he was a kid. The Jackson Five consisted of five members and all of them are brothers (obviously). There is Marlon, Jackie, Tito, Michael, and Jermaine. The king of pop’s full name was and still is Michael Joseph Jackson and he was born August 29, 1958. Jackson started his solo career in 1971 with songs like “Rock With You”. In 1982 his album Thriller hit the pop charts and there it stayed for months on end. In fact “Thriller” was the best selling album of all time to date. One of my favorite songs is Billie Jean, and Thriller. Michael Jackson is also responsible for the very popular dance move called the “moonwalk” which eventually became his signature move. The moonwalk was originally called the “backslide” but after Jackson got a hold of the step it went from slide to walk. His dancing technique which consisted of jerks, swirls, spins, bends, jumps, and even the occasional standing on his toes, is used even today with many dance moves that are current and upbeat. Break dancers even incorporate Michael Jacksons moves with some of their dance moves as seen in the movie “Step Up 2”. He was a man ridiculed for his likes and dislikes, and he was also a man that liked to live a carefree and childish life. Many people think that Michael Jackson enjoyed such things because he never had a regular childhood like most boys and girls. All the accusations that this man suffered could never be proven true, and even with such claims the man that hide his face was still admired and loved all across the world. My mother loved Michael Jackson when she was a kid and now that he is gone all we fans have now is just a memory of his existence that will carry on for generations to come. I hope you guys like this lesson on “how to draw Michael Jackson” step by step. There is also another music artist that is making headlines too and maybe you would like to try and tackle the tutorial
how to draw Taylor Swift, but of course that is your choice. Peace out and happy drawing. R.I.P August 29, 1958 - June 25, 2009.
