How to Draw Lucy and Natsu

Step 1.


Start off by drawing the head guides, then sketch in the neck and shoulder guides.

Step 2.


We will start with the profile of Lucy's face which starts off with the forehead, then draw the nose, lips, chin and jaw line.

Step 3.


Here you will draw Lucy's hair which from the side looks parted. Some of her hair falls on the side of her face, then draw her closed eye, thick lashes, and eyebrow. Also add a small dash for the nostril hole.

Step 4.


Finish drawing Lucy's hair which should be long, straight and defined. Add the flower in her hair and a bang bump on her forehead.

Step 5.


Draw a neck, shoulder, and then the trim lining for her tee shirt or top.

Step 6.


Next, draw Natsu's face profile which is the forehead, jawline and then his ear. Add the bangs and then you can move to step seven.

Step 7.


Draw Natsu's eyebrow, eyelids, lashes, and then draw the bandage on his cheek, then add detailing inside the ear.

Step 8.


Finish Natsu's hairstyle which is short and layered. The ends of his hair should be pointed.

Step 9.


Here you will draw in the thick, layered shirt collar, then draw his shoulder and some of the arm which is all covered by clothing.

Step 10.


Add detailing to collar, then add detailing to his clothing and then add muscle detailing to his arm and shoulder. Erase the guides and mistakes, then you are all set.

Step 11.


The line art for these two lovers should come out looking like so. Color in both Natsu and Lucy and show off your skills to all.

Description: I know one thing is a fact, Lucy and Natsu from Fairy Tail are definitely two of the most popular figures from the series. The idea for this tutorial came after I received a request from several people asking I make a lesson on "how to draw Natsu and Lucy", step by step. I really wanted to grasp the idea and make it into something that Fairy Tail fans would love and enjoy tackling. I know that there are many versions you could have made the two, but the idea was to keep everything as simple as possible so even novice artists can have a go at these two colorful characters. Drawing anime people kissing is always fun, so now it's your turn to get in on the action. Peace out people and enjoy.
