Step 1.
You will start by drawing three shapes, one for the head, another for the hand guide, and the smallest shape for inside of the head shape which is for Lock's snout. Add a guideline for the arm.

Step 2.
We will start sketching out the arm and hand for Lock. The best way to start is to draw the finger lines which should be drawn in a manner where they will pop into the viewers face. Next, draw the forearm and be sure to sketch in some hair or fur on
the arm line like you see here.

Step 3.
You will now complete the clawed hand by drawing the rest of the fingers. and then draw the thumb. Add the claws or nails like so, and then sketch in the detailing on the fingers which is the crease and fold lines. Add some coat detailing to the arm'
s surface as well.

Now let's tackle the task of of sketching out the actual head structure for Lock. Start at the top, and then draw the ears, sides of the face and then the jawline and chin. As you can see the cheeks are ruffled or hairy like a bear.

Step 5.
We will be working on getting Lock's face drawn in. This Monsuno is a giant beast that has a snarling expression on his face. Start by drawing the eyebrows in a very expressive manner, and notice how they are bushy. Draw the eyes, crinkles or wrinkle
s on the nose, and then draw in the actual nose tip. Add detailing for inside of the ears as well as between the eyes and forehead.

All you have to do in this step is draw the mouth as well as the sharp bear like teeth. Start at the top, and work your way around until a mouth in an open style is drawn. Add the sharp teeth tooth by tooth.

Continuing on with the body, draw the layered ruffled lines to create the back of the beast, and be sure that the humps or lumps are sketched in the same way you would draw the body of a hairy animal.

Step 8.
Only some of the lower half of Lock's body is seen so all you need to do is draw the viewable parts of the chest and abdomen. The stomach ends in V like shape at the bottom. Sketch in the muscle detailing and then move to step nine.

Step 9.
Proceeding on with Lock's body, draw his thighs and lower half of the legs. He is in a crouched pose which should make it a bit easier to replicate because you don't actually have to draw the contours of the legs. Again, make sure that the thigh lini
ng is drawn with a ruffles stroke for the hair on this Monsuno's body.

Step 10.
Almost done guys, all you have to do now is draw the other hand or what you can see. There is only two fingers and some of the palm that needs to be drawn. Add the claws or nails, and then start the process of cleaning up your work.

For the final step you will need to draw in more of the fingers, and then sketch in the body definition and detailing like so.

When you're done, Lock the Monsuno monster should come out looking like the one you see here. Color him in and yo now have yourself a drawing on the main monster from the Monsuno series.

Description:
Nickelodeon always comes out with some pretty cool cartoon series every once and a while, and this season there is no exception. This new series is premiering today on Nickelodeon at 8pm eastern time. I will be showing you "
how to draw Lock
", step by step from the new show Monsuno. Monsuno is a series that is about a group of kids or teenagers that stumble upon monster DNA that has been reawakened from long ago. Lock is a Monsuno monster that is a hybrid species of a bear, gorilla, and tiger. The monsters in the series are gigantic, and they are prehistoric. Each Monsuno can be summoned from a capsule that looks like an hourglass. As I watched the trailer for the new series, all I could think about was an animated version of Pokemon. The two stories are similar in the aspect that the monsters can be extracted and retracted using a handler. Each monster or Monsuno in the show has a handler, and the teens that discovered these ancient beings are not the only ones that have a Monsuno at their disposal. This tutorial is going to be based on drawing Lock, the main Monsuno in the series is Chase Suno's which is Lock's handler. I hope you guys enjoy drawing Lock, because I had an awesome tome recreating him. I will be back with some more cool submissions so stay tuned in to see what they will be. Peace out and enjoy!
