How to Draw Kevin from Up

I want you to draw a small circle for the head and then add the eye circle and then the line for the beak. Draw a long neck line and then attach it to two body circles. You will then draw out the leg guidelines as well as the feet.

Now, thicken the beak shape and then draw the hair feather lines. You will also need to draw out the shape and thickness of Kevin's neck and then you can move to the next step.

Start sketching in the feather lines for definition and detail as you see it drawn out for you here.

You will now draw out the pupil inside of the eye shape and then sketch in the peacock looking feather tips on his head. Sketch Kevin's lower body out and begin sketching out the shape and thickness of his legs.

As you can see you are already almost done with this tutorial. All I want you to do now is sketch in more feather detailing on his chest and also sketch out the lining for his wing. You will finish draw out Kevin's long legs as well as the bird toes.

This is your last drawing step and all you have to do here is sketch in the wing feather lines and then the tail feathers. Add some definition and detail and then start erasing your guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Once you are done you should end up with a Pixar Disney character that looks like the one you see here. I hope you had fun learning "how to draw Kevin from Up" step by step.

Description: I am always looking for more characters to draw from either new upcoming movies or from new cartoons that air on Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and the Disney Channel. For this tutorial I will be showing you “how to draw Kevin from Up” step by step. Up is a new movie from Disney Pixar that opened in theaters today. I wanted to draw a few characters from the movie just in-case some of you artist out there happen to sit in on this movie. Now I haven’t seen the movie yet so I really can’t give you any informative information on this particular character. I can tell you what I have read about him from the official site though. From what I understand Kevin is a flightless bird that is considered to be extremely rare. He is thirteen feet tall and lives in Paradise Falls where no one knows of his existence. His feather colors are very brilliant and vivid, and the other main character of the movie “Russell” (who is a young boy), gets along with the exotic bird wonderfully. Kevin is named by his new friend Russell and travels with him, old man Carl, and Russell’s dog Dug on a wondrous adventure. I know for a fact that my little sister is going to be eager to watch this movie and when she does, I will too. For now I can show you "how to draw Kevin from Up step by step". And maybe I will do more tutorials and show you “how to draw Disney Up characters” in future lessons to come. In the mean time I have to go yet again but I shall return so stay tuned in for more drawing fun.
