Description: Okay, I made a vow to myself to draw all the characters from the new Disney movie “UP” and so far I have submitted lessons on how to draw Kevin, Alpha, and Russell. For my fourth character installment, I will do a lesson to teach you guys “how to draw Carl Fredricksen from UP” step by step. Now Carl is another main character and he is a retired balloon salesman. One of Carl’s big dreams was to one day travel to South America. After his wife Ellie died he becomes more determined to fulfill his dream. Now being a retired balloon salesman, Carl comes up with an idea to travel to South America with all of his belongings. Since he has no desire to leave the house that he and his wife lived in, he decides to take thousands of balloons and ties them all to his house. Now being seventy eight years old you would think that Carl has no urge to live out the rest of his life in South America right? Wrong, since Carl is an adventurer at heart he is determined to take that trip that he promised his wife he would one day fulfill. Thousands of balloons are eventually tied to the roof of his house and away he goes on his long lived fantasy by himself, (or so he thought). Unaware of what was hiding on his porch; his plans are eventually challenged when an eight year old boy becomes a stowaway. Together they must overcome all the complications from being in a place declared as a “lost world”. Can Carl and Russell survive extreme weather, unknown species of animals and insects, and treacherous terrains?
