The first thing you have to do is make a circle for the head and then add the facial guideline for the lower portion of the face.

2

Using the shape you just made, begin sketching out the shape of her face from a 3/4 view angle. Her cheeks are chubby and she has a narrow shaped jaw. Include the lobe of her ear.

3

Using the facial guides, begin sketching out Ariel's eyes, as well as her long lashes. You will then draw her nose as well as the nostrils. Add the eyebrows and proceed to step four.

4

Okay guys, draw and color in her actual eyeballs as well as the pupils. Sketch out her mouth and or lips, then add some minor detailing to the lobe of her ear.

5

You will finish off this sketch on Ariel by sketching out her beautiful long wavy hair. She has her hair combed to the left, as the rest falls on her shoulders and back. Sketch out the shape of her neck, then clean up any mistakes you may have made.

6

When you're done, your "sketch" of Ariel should look something like the one you see here once you have added shading and texture detailing. I do hope you had fun with this tutorial, if you want a more traditional look of Ariel, just ink out the lines

Description: "Look at this stuff, isn’t it neat? Wouldn't you think my collections complete? Wouldn't you think I'm the girl, the girl who has everything? Look at this trove treasures untold, how many wonders can one cavern hold? Looking' around here you'd think (sure) she's got everything". And I'm sure you guys had enough of that song from the epic Disney movie 'The Little Mermaid'. I honestly can still remember when I first watched this movie. I was so excited to see all the sea life in cartoon form. At one time I was so into mermaids so watching such a colorful movie really brought out the creativity in me as a kid when I would try to recreate my version of Ariel. I admit my attempt was pretty bad, but that doesn't mean yours has to be. I wanted to make a lesson on "how to draw Ariel easy" for those of you that just love her character design as well as the movie. Since this film brings me back to my childhood, I wanted to do a digital sketch of Ariel to make it that much more personal. I had a lot of fun with this digital sketch, and I know you will too if you are a fan of The Little Mermaid. I did have to go back and fix Ariel’s nose in the sketch because it was a little too fat for her face. Well, that’s it folks, enjoy this lesson and be sure to stick around for more drawing fun!
