How To Draw An Om or Aum Symbol
1
Draw out a large cross. Positioned as shown, draw a large '3'. Right below where it curves in, draw a backwards 'C' that is out on the right. Right above both of them, draw in a line that curves downwards.
2
Along what you drew earlier, flesh it out. Just double up all the lines. As shown by the red arrow, the line outside the '3' should be curved. As shown by the red circle, the bottom tip of the 'C' should be pointed.
3
Erase all the lines where they overlap on the drawing and connect them so the you are left with two closed figures. Erase the cross guidelines as well. Then add in a curved square- it looks like a star- right above the curved line at the top.

Description: I decided to show another part of my religion and background and show you all how to draw an Om (or Aum) symbol. For my purposes, I will be calling it Om. It is a sacred part of many religions, including Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism and Buddhism. The Om, as pictured here, is shown in the Devangari format, which is the most popular and more recognizable. This symbol is the common sign for Hinduism and its theology and philosophy. It looks quite complicated to draw, but when you break it down into steps, it's actually quite simple.
