How to Draw a Tribal Lizard, Tribal Lizard
Artist:
Dawn
/ November 16, 2011
Step 1.
Begin with making the guidelines for the entire lizard. The easiest way to get started is to make the head shape first and then draw in the one long guide in the middle of the drawing. Add horizontal lining for the front and back legs as well.

Step 3.
Now you can continue to draw out the length of the body and do this by making the edgy, or sharply contoured lining. Once that is done, you can tackle the task of drawing the tribal form of the tribal lizard's front legs and feet.

Step 5.
You will finish this step by drawing out the tribal formed tail. I wanted it to curl inward for added creativity and contouring. Once you are satisfied with your drawing, you can clean up the sketch to prepare for color.

Here is what your finished drawing looks like when you are all done. Color your drawing in and show everyone what you have done.

Description:
I’m going to break up the type of art that is going up right now and show you guys something a little different. I was thinking about which request I should fill, and after deciding between three ideas I finally chose to make a tutorial on "
how to draw a tribal lizard
", step by step. Another part of my decision to do the tribal lizard is because I have been listening to the Doors lately, and as all you fans know Jim Morrison was commonly known as the Lizard King. This neat tribal design came out a little better than I expected I was going to make. The coloring is also another favorite part of the drawing that I’m really enjoying. I think you will have a blast as you learn "

" of your own. You don’t have to go with a rainbow coloring job; you can choose any shade you wish when it comes time to color in your newly drawn lizard. Well, I guess that’s all I can say about this lesson. I will meet you back here two more times before I call it a night. You can either stick around, or come back in about an hour to see what comes up next. Peace people and enjoy!
